CEP 810 Teaching for Understanding with Technology
Instructor: Jodi Spicer
This was an introductory course that helped set a good foundation of what the MAET (Masters in Educational Technology) program would be about. Several technologies were introduced that could be used for various learning goals. TPACK (technological pedagogical content knowledge) was introduced the became the main focus of the course. Strategies for integrating effective technologies that support student learning were discussed and debated.

CEP 811 Adapting Innovative Technologies to Education
Instructor: Amy Pietrowski
There information presented in this course helped us understand the conversion of standard classroom teaching and integrating technology. We used several different means to create resources that could be used in the classroom. We also were asked to really evaluate not only the quality of our work but also the meaning of our work. In this course we developed technological applications that incorporated interactivity, multi-sensory, and innovation.

In this course we explored the theories and perspectives of how individuals learns. We spent a lot of focus on social media and web 2.0 tools and how they can enhance the classroom and collaboration.

CEP 812 Applying Educational Technology to Issues of Practice
Instructor: Emily Stone
This course featured a TechQuest project in which we had to explain a technology that would improve a facet of our job (eLearning/Training). My project involved determining if my educational problem could be better solved with gamification or game theory. In addition, we were asked to create a podcast that would address questions about our TPACK solution.

CEP 820 Teaching Students Online
Instructor: Anne Heintz
During this course we were asked to experiment with and create our own online learning environment. We researched several different LMS (learning management system) and CMS (content management system) tools. Individually we created the basics of a real course including elements such as course objectives, class outline, and lessons.

CEP 822 Approaches to Educational Research
Instructor: David E. Wong
In this course we were asked to apply and manipulate descriptive and inferential statistics in order to analyze and critique published studies and findings. We learned about the different types of research and how they are properly conducted including the many variables they may have. We then identified our own researchable problem. By the end of the course I wrote a final annotated literature review explored how one's personality type affects their learning and how classrooms best accommodate learning styles.

The focus in this course was on developing our thinking as technology leaders. We looked into the true purpose of education, the evolution of technology in education, and the qualities of good leadership. By the end of this course I was able to better determine the use of technology in its many forms as well as its effectiveness in an educational environment.

In this course we learned the value and relevance of creativity in education. We recognized, analyzed, and utilized creativity in multiple contexts. We focused on the psychological, motivational, and organizational aspects of creativity.

Culmination of the Master of Arts in Educational Technology degree experience. This course assessed and synthesized my educational technology knowledge and the development of my skills. In this course we were required to create a portfolio of all our past work from courses we have taken as part of the MAET program.
